album was recorded in 1973 and at that time we were known as 'The Top
League'. This is an all-original recording, written by my good friend
and songwriter Dennis Allen. The song 'Melinda' is written for his daughter
of the same name

In
1966 we recorded this album to commemorate the 1916 Rising. The content
is fairly martial and Mrs. Kathleen Connolly, wife of Jim Connolly who
was leader of The Monarchs Showband at the time, was a native Irish
(Gaelic) speaker and she recites the well-known Irish poem 'Mise Éire'
